This collection of essays brings together undergraduate students, graduate students, and PhD candidates from the English Language and Literature Department at İstanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University to discuss various works of literature in the light of different approaches and literary theories. It presents the works of writers from different periods and cultural backgrounds – Daniel Defoe, Henry Fielding, E. M. Forster, Joseph Conrad, Kate Chopin, Henrik Ibsen, Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, Seth Grahame-Smith, Luke Rhinehart, Andrzej Sapkowski, A.S.A. (Susan) Harrison. Thus, we hope that these selected chapters will provide an opportunity for readers from various backgrounds to read thought-provoking and inspiring discussions about well-known masterpieces.
